I completely forgot that today was the first Wednesday of the month
and that it was IWSG posting day. I was on my evening walk when I realized it.
I rushed home and checked the IWSG website for the question of the month and
here I’m typing out my post. Last month I was organized and this month
completely disorganized.
IWSG (Insecure Writers Support Group) is an online community of
writers, posting on the first Wednesday of every month, our posts are usually
related to our writing. The IWSG website has amazing posts on writing and
publishing.
The credit for creating IWSG goes to Ninja
Captain Alex J Cavanaugh (author
of the Amazon Bestsellers: CassaStar, CassaStorm, CassaFire and Dragon of the
Stars). Alex is multi-talented, a multi-tasker, one of the kindest people I
know online, he is also a fantastic musician, a great writer and a wonderful human. Thanks to
Alex, IWSG has become a welcome therapy for us writers.
The July 4th IWSG Question is “What are your ultimate
writing goals, and how have they changed over time (if at all)?
My ultimate
writing goals are to write many, many books, across genres, and this goal has
been a constant. Its another matter that I haven’t yet achieved it. But, I’m
working towards it.
Looking forward to reading what all your writing goals
are.
P.S. I completely forgot that we were supposed to post
on 3rd July.
I'm certain you'll get there, Rachna!
ReplyDeleteYou have the perseverance and commitment to do so.
As for me, I still feel like I'm all over the place...
Writer In Transit
Thanks Michelle, I hope I get there, at times my perseverance and commitment wavers :(
DeleteNo worries!
ReplyDeleteYou've already begun the journey with published books and crossing genres. It will all come to pass with your determination.
I hope so Alex, that my determination leads me to my goal.
DeleteYou'll definitely get there! Determination takes us a long way!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a day late getting around to comment, so your timing is perfect for me. ;) Working toward your goals is what it's all about. Go you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your accomplishments. We're looking forward to seeing your name in print over and over again across many genres.
ReplyDeleteMulti-genre is good. I am currently working on my 4th genre.
ReplyDeleteJust a question Rachna. Writing multi-genres, do you use pen names for the Amazon algorithms or not?
ReplyDeleteI love that your goal hasn't changed over time. You are steadfast!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lynda about how awesome that your goals remain the same. And that was sweet of you to rush home from your walk.
ReplyDeleteKeep at it, Rachna! :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as you keep working towards that goal, then you'll get there. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteI like your goals. Write many, many books so I can read them:)
ReplyDelete'Write many, many books' is an excellent goal! Best of luck with it.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachna, I can appreciate you want to write across many genres. Me, I guess I have limited skills (but not imagination). I'll stick to speculative fiction as this is what works for me. Best wishes to you moving forward.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely goal to work toward. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's a good goal, Rachna. Writing across more than one genre means you are always open to the ideas that come and don't have to disregard them because "it's not what I usually write." Keep at it.
ReplyDeleteWhile I write in mostly one genre, I have put out stories in other genres and would like to continue. Good luck with your goal!
